The AIAO-BAR program for assessing and accrediting AIAO-BAR certification/registration bodies is based on relevant guides established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). AIAO-BAR monitors activities of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) to ensure international consistency in the application of these internationally established guidelines.
