Mr. Lugo has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, is an Expert Trainer and Implementer of LEAN Enterprise, Theory of Constraints, Six Sigma and ISO based Management Systems. He is Certified by IRCA and Exemplar Global (RABQSA) as an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, by NSF as an ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environmental) and OHSAS 18001 (occupational health and safety) Lead Auditor and by SCS as an FSC and PEFC Chain of Custody Lead Auditor. He is certified to teach the Exemplar Global (RABQSA) Certified ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor Courses.
Mr. Lugo was awarded “The Above and Beyond Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Vitality and Prosperity of American Manufacturing” by the USA National Institute of Standards and Technology program Florida MEP (NIST MEP). Additionally Mr. Lugo is an adjunct professor at colleges and universities and a frequent speaker at local, national and international conferences. Mr. Lugo is the Chairman of SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers) Chapter 150, the Chairman of ASQ (American Society for Quality) Section 1515.
